Native Range:
homage to the Penedès region

The Native range, produced with native Catalan varieties, pays homage to the region chosen by Jean Leon to fulfil his dream of making a wine bearing his name. Catalan tiles, a valuable piece of our heritage and traditional culture, provide the inspiration for this collection.

A land.
An environment.
A character.

This range stems from a desire to offer a new line at Jean Leon that harnesses the potential of one of our greatest assets: the land. Our aim is to showcase the unique character and potential of the Penedès region, a place chosen by Jean Leon to build his winery, with the dream of producing the best wines for the most discerning customers.

The Catalan

Catalan tiles, the source of inspiration for this collection, are a distinctive feature of the local region. The Catalan tile stands as a valuable testament to our history and traditional way of life from the mid-17th century to the end of the 19th century. These titles served as an artistic means of conveying the social information of the time.

Glazed tiles featuring natural and geometric designs were used to decorate homes in Catalonia and the Iberian Peninsula.

A tribute to the place chosen to create a wine bearing his name.

First exponent: Jean Leon Xarel.lo

The first wine of the collection, a limited production, is made entirely from Xarel·lo, the most emblematic white grape of the Penedès region, a hardy variety that is resistant to drought and heat and perfectly adapted to the territory, yielding high-quality, balanced crops.
