1998 was a thermally and pluviometrically dry year, with thermal and heliothermal indices globally within the normal range, but with a vegetative cycle start warmer than usual.
June and July were very dry, while August, despite being rainy, recorded 18 days above 30 °C, double the average, and September behaved normally.
This pattern, marked by scarce summer rainfall, resulted in a high drought index and a dry vintage, with normal average temperatures but a clearly warm start to the cycle.

2000 was a thermally and pluviometrically dry and warm year, with thermal and heliothermal indices clearly above average.
Despite a vegetative cycle marked by scarce precipitation — except for a normal June and a rainy September — high temperatures and a pronounced drought index favoured high sugar potential in the grapes, maintaining a fast and complete ripening.
