We are proud to announce that our two Qualified Estate Wines: Jean Leon Vinya Le Havre Reserva 2013 60th Anniversary Edition<\/a> and Jean Leon Vinya La Scala Gran Reserva 2016<\/a>, have obtained Gran Or at the wine contest of the Reial Casino de Madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is a competition that aims to value, highlight and disseminate the diversity and richness of the wines produced in Spain, promoting culture and social and economic importance. In this fifth edition of the contest, the professional jury has awarded 29 Gran Or medals and 63 Or medals to wines from all over Spain.<\/p>\n

One of the award-winning wines was Jean Leon Vinya Le Havre Reserva 2013 60th Anniversary Edition<\/a>, the wine with which we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the winery. It is a wine made from Carbernet Sauvignon and Carbernet Franc, it comes from a vineyard planted in 1968 that owes its name to the French port from which Jean Leon embarked as a policeman in pursuit of the American dream.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Jean Leon Vinya La Scala Gran Reserva 2016 <\/a>has also been awarded a Gran Or at the competition. This wine is a single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, which comes from the first vineyard planted by Jean Leon in 1963 and named after the restaurant he ran in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
