Those bike rides with friends, a moonlit dinner, chats on the beach\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jean Leon<\/a> GB-21 &#8216;s new experimental wine is like those ephemeral summer stories that, without really knowing why, <strong>manage to put a smile on your face every time you recall them.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just like your summer memories, GB-21 is a <strong>unique and ephemeral wine<\/strong>. Being a limited production, the GB-21 gives that feeling of making something <strong>completely new<\/strong> and, at the same time, <strong>completely exclusive<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The GB-21, an exclusive wine<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the main distinguishing features of Jean Leon&#8217;s experimental wines is their <strong>exclusivity<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This seventh instalment of the collection is a limited production wine, so when stocks run out, the possibility of tasting this little oenological pleasure will become extinct. <strong>In total, only 3,034 bottles have been produced.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, GB-21 is <strong>one of the few single-varietal white Grenache wines in the Pened\u00e8s.<\/strong> Currently, there are only 56 hectares of this variety registered in the Pened\u00e8s Designation of Origin.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winemakers Mireia Torres, director of Jean Leon, and Montse Escot\u00e9 wanted to experiment on this occasion with Grenache Blanc to show the potential of this Mediterranean variety in the Pened\u00e8s and to produce a wine with personality.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-52150\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Nuevo-proyecto-41-1-850x540.jpg\" alt=\"GB-21\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The GB-21, a wine made with a lot of care<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the production of this wine, we have used <strong>Garnacha Blanca from the 2021 vintage. <\/strong>The grapes come from a small vineyard with clay soil <strong>located at an altitude of 260 meters above sea level. <\/strong>We have fermented the wine in stainless steel vats for 4 months, which allows us to maintain the freshness and aromatic intensity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a wine in which there is <strong>a lot of care and work<\/strong> in each of the <a href=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/en\/a-step-by-step-look-at-the-grapevine-growth-cycle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">processes<\/a>. The aim is to offer a new, unique and different option to all those who enjoy wine and want to discover new proposals.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-52154\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Nuevo-proyecto-42-copia-850x540.jpg\" alt=\"GB-21\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tasting notes<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like the other wines in the experimental range, this is an <strong>ephemeral and entirely handcrafted production.<\/strong> This range pays tribute to the most intuitive and indomitable character of our founder, Jean Leon.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GB-21 is a white wine of <strong>great intensity<\/strong>, very aromatic and fresh on the nose. It has aromas of white fruit and citrus and, on the palate, it has a sweet flavour with a long, elegant finish.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the seventh experimental wine from our winery.
