The majority of the red wines from Terra Alta, Priorat, Empord\u00e0, or Pened\u00e8s would work wonderfully, whether with a simple plate of spaghetti, arroz a la cubana<\/em>, a traditional pizza, or noodle casserole. A Merlot would also work well (Jean Leon 3055 comes to mind now, but I\u2019m not saying anything!).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Be creative with salads. It\u2019s the easiest way to incorporate portions of fruits and vegetables during these days, and they always go well with a glass of ros\u00e9 or white wine.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Save the young, fresh, light whites for fish, saut\u00e9ed vegetables, or even grilled chicken or rabbit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n For cannelloni, penne au gratin, or any baked pasta dish, it\u2019s best to look for white with a little more body and a little more aging. Wines with a Chardonnay, Garnacha Blanca, or Xarel\u00b7lo base, aged in oak, would be perfect.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Eat and drink (in moderation) and take advantage of these days to enjoy the things you always complain you don\u2019t have time for in everyday life.
