The route can be done by car and is planned around five vantage points (<a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.enoturismepenedes.cat\/sites\/default\/files\/landing_page\/documents\/miravinya_cat_eng.pdf\">Miravinyas<\/a>) that can be used to answer all of your questions, such as \u201cWhat role does water have in a region that is traditionally dry?\u201d \u201cWhat makes Pened\u00e8s wine so special?\u201d This is definitely a suggestion that can be useful for learning a little bit more about the region.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_24316\" style=\"width: 860px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24316\" class=\"size-large wp-image-24316\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/JeanLeon_RutaModernista-850x527.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"527\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-24316\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Turisme VIlafranca<\/p><\/div>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turismevilafranca.com\/sites\/default\/files\/ruta\/documents\/modernista_cat-angl17_web_0.pdf\">Art Nouveau Route through Vilafranca<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Our next suggestion features a visit to the capital of the Alt Pened\u00e8s region to discover all of the Catalan Art Nouveau heritage hiding in its streets. The Art Nouveau Route through Vilafranca gives visitors the opportunity to learn about the impact of this late 19<sup>th<\/sup>-century cultural movement, using the new symbols of progress and modernity that this innovative trend brought along with it. The Catalan Art Nouveau movement, known locally as <em>Modernisme<\/em>, was an artistic and social trend that arose following the economic resurgence of the Alt Pened\u00e8s after the phylloxera crisis, and that began to take hold across Europe.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OHvhshUuXas\" width=\"100%\" height=\"415\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fontdelacanya.cat\/\">Font de la Canya archaeological site<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>To delve even deeper into our region, we recommend a visit to the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fontdelacanya.cat\/\">Font de la Canya<\/a><\/strong> <strong>archaeological site<\/strong>, one of the most important in Catalonia, located in <a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.avinyonet.org\/\">Avinyonet del Pened\u00e8s<\/a>. The exhibition is the result of 18 years of excavations and focuses on the origin and arrival of wine in our region. It\u2019s undoubtedly the best way to learn about where everything started and why the Pened\u00e8s and wine are so closely linked.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vinseum.cat\/\">Vinseum<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Another destination that has to be on your itinerary in the Pened\u00e8s is the\u00a0<a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vinseum.cat\/\">Vinseum<\/a>, the <strong>Museum for the Wine Culture of Catalonia<\/strong>.
