The location alone\u2014in S\u00f3ller&#8217;s historical town center on one of its most iconic streets\u2014makes it special. It is a cozy traditional Mallorcan townhouse with elegant contemporary d\u00e9cor that preserves the original architecture of the building. A lovely quiet interior courtyard with great views of the S\u00f3ller mountains provides the icing on the cake during the summer months.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-23047\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/CAN_BOQUETA_gastro1_FB-850x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The culinary star at Can Boqueta is the tasting menu (\u20ac33 or \u20ac55 with wine pairing), available in the evenings and on weekends at lunchtime (reservation required). It is a creative menu exquisitely put together by Kiko Martorell, the restaurant&#8217;s chef and owner. The menu mainly features seasonal, locally sourced products and Mediterranean cuisine with contemporary flair. It changes weekly and includes the option of specifically selected wine pairings. The perfect match to savor every dish on the menu, which means appetizers, starters, a fish course, a meat course, and dessert. The restaurant also serves a weekday executive lunch menu that is very well priced (\u20ac15) and offers a choice of several dishes recommended by the chef.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-23069\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Can-Poqueta_12-850x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the wine pairing menu, which changes weekly, Can Boqueta has 150 different wines in its cellar, a generous list that is updated continuously. The restaurant treats wine <em>\u201cwith great respect,\u201d remarks Martorell, \u201cWe offer pairings with every menu, and our wine list is very extensive given the size of our restaurant. Even our logo features a wine stain, which should say it all.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-23063\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_5897_2-850x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When it comes to food and wine, the restaurant focuses on locally sourced products. \u201cThe cuisine is primarily regional but always has a creative or modern touch. We use a lot of local ingredients, because we have a wide range of excellent products on the island year round.\u201d Customers are particularly fond of the stuffed Mallorcan black pork loin or Mallorcan-style dogfish. <em>\u201cThe desserts get really good reviews too, but I wouldn&#8217;t know which one to pick,\u201d<\/em> he adds.<\/p>\n<p>Can Boqueta is open for lunch and dinner. During the summer months, the restaurant is closed on Sundays, and in the winter, on Sunday evenings and Mondays.<\/p>\n<p>This is an undeniably great spot to enjoy top-notch Mallorcan cuisine where you can truly leave it all up to the chef.
