There is no going back now. It took a while, but summer is finally here. We’ve been waiting for it impatiently, mostly because we can’t wait for those summer nights we love so much. Evenings spent outdoors, enjoying the warm weather, along with some good food and good music.<\/p>\n

So for today we’ve put together a list of places in Barcelona and Madrid, plus a couple of amazing festivals, where you can enjoy all three. As the season heats up, the options multiply. No time to waste!<\/p>\n

This Barcelona spot is all about jazz. In 1988 they were among the first to bring the dinner and acoustic concert combo to the city. In terms of cuisine, the restaurant serves a nice selection of main courses and has a very complete wine list. Every Wednesday and Thursday evening is set aside for live music.<\/p>\n

When it comes to live music in Barcelona, this Gr\u00e0cia establishment is an absolute classic. Its founding mission was to revitalize Barcelona’s cultural scene. Not only does the venue host outdoor concerts almost every day of the week, it even organizes its own festival! A cultural landmark in one of the city’s coolest neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

Going strong for 30 years, Harlem Jazz Club has live concerts every night. It opened in 1987, making the club one of the oldest concert spaces in the city, and when it comes to music, few places can match it in terms of quantity and quality. Nestled into the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona’s city center, the club has welcomed thousands of local and international artists to its stage.<\/p>\n

Bodega Salt\u00f3 is largely responsible for turning Poble Sec into one of the city’s liveliest neighborhoods. Old-school wine shop, bar, restaurant and concert venue: Salt\u00f3 has it all, even its own cultural association tasked with organizing concerts, either in the early afternoon (the perfect aperitif) or evening.<\/p>\n

Plus, concert-goers can savor great nibbles\u2014Ib\u00e9rico<\/em> cured meat and ham, assorted cheeses, salads\u2014along with the music.<\/p>\n

Jazz is the star at this live music venue. Located in the AC Recoletos hotel, it is the perfect place for an evening of good music in Madrid, amid an elegant but welcoming ambiance. An intimate setting in which to enjoy a drink or light meal, on a romantic date or with friends, every Thursday and Friday night.<\/p>\n

Ten restaurants, bars and concert venues in Barcelona and Madrid where you can enjoy enticing cuisine paired with great live music. Rounding out our gastronomic-musical journey are two festivals that are about to start. Festival Cap Roig, held in Calella de Palafrugell, and Festival de Peralada, in the eponymous town in the province of Girona. Both kick off next month and are true icons of the summer music season.<\/p>\n

And it doesn’t end there. At Jean Leon we organize live jazz events at our Visitors Center all summer long, as well as teaming up with restaurants in Madrid and Barcelona.<\/p>\n
