After the success of our last night of wine and stars at Jean Leon, we hosted the same event again this year. Last weekend, over 100 people attended the second edition of our wine tasting and star gazing evening, coinciding with the Perseids meteor shower and featuring food and music as well \u2013 an experience to please all five senses.<\/p>\n

The night started with a welcome glass of X-15, our most experimental wine. Next, astronomer Joan Anton Catal\u00e0, from the Sant Cugat Astronomy Association, gave an enjoyable, fun, and very interesting masterclass on the world of astronomy, where he revealed some of the secrets hidden by this exciting scientific field. Catal\u00e0 specializes in astrophotography, an activity he practices from his observatory in Falset, in the Priorat region, and he is also a pioneer in Spain in the use of astronomy in the business sphere, hosting sessions for businesses and managers combining his business experience and astronomical knowledge, under the title \u201cA space for growing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once we had learned the theory, it was time to put it into practice. Attendees had the chance to use a powerful telescope to get a perfect view of everything from the craters on the moon to Saturn\u2019s rings, and they also received a voucher for 50{483e5444ab9fc06e19ac83efe1d2198bc64dd97b6326f9ee3936c7b95b1cf489} off astronomy and precision equipment at Cottet \u00d3ptica y Audiolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Following our first look at the stars, a cocktail dinner was served paired with two of our Single Vineyard Wines: Vinya Gigi Chardonnay 2015 and Vinya Le Havre Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2011, tantalizing the tastebuds all the wine lovers in attendance.<\/p>\n

The night of stargazing draws a good crowd every year, and our aim is for it to in time become a well-established event in the agenda of summer activities we offer at Jean Leon.
