The weather however didn&#8217;t feel spring-like until mid-April, specifically a few days before April 23rd. This is the day Catalonia celebrates the <\/span><strong><i>Diada de Sant Jordi<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Saint George&#8217;s Day), where books and roses take center stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-726\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/rosas-y-libros-jean-leon-1.jpg\" alt=\"rosas-y-libros-jean-leon\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Given the combination of these elements, we decided it was time to celebrate the arrival of spring a little differently. <strong>Roses, books, culture, wine, food, cinema<\/strong>: we put them all together, stirred well, and out came #LaPrimaveraJeanLeon (#JeanLeonSpring). An idea. A hashtag. A concept and an excuse to talk about love.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-712\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/rose\u0301-como-protagonista.jpg\" alt=\"rose\u0301-como-protagonista\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do so, we brought together some of the <strong>most popular actors<\/strong> on Catalan television at one of their homes in Barcelona&#8217;s Poble Sec neighborhood. Our host was Ferran Carvajal who decorated his entire impeccable apartment especially for the occasion. Roses, candles and a wine worthy of a leading role: our <strong>Jean Leon 3055 Ros\u00e9<\/strong>. It couldn&#8217;t have been any other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-716\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/ornamentacio\u0301n-jean-leon.jpg\" alt=\"ornamentacio\u0301n-jean-leon\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We asked our friends at El Seco to cater the event. The restaurant works with locally sourced, organic ingredients, and we were delighted with the lovely presentation and great quality. We, of course, took care of the drinks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-664 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Captura-de-pantalla-2016-05-30-a-las-15.51.04.png\" alt=\"Captura de pantalla 2016-05-30 a la(s) 15.51.04\" width=\"720\" height=\"455\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guests started to arrive. We had invited a mix of real couples, like Cristina Brondo and Diego Yaquer, and fictional mothers and children, like Anna Ycobalzeta and Pau Poch from the TV3 show <\/span><strong><i>Merl\u00ed<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to talk about love. We were also joined by the actors Mario Gas, Merc\u00e8 Sampietro and Anna Alarc\u00f3n, as well as Alba Pujol from the popular show <\/span><strong><i>Nit i Dia<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-718\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/actors-Nit-i-Dia.jpg\" alt=\"actors-Nit-i-Dia\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We opened a few bottles. The first timid moments gave way to long conversations about love. Opinions on the subject varied greatly. Anecdotes, unusual stories, fun moments, serious moments, but above all else, it was an evening marked by the palpable friendship and camaraderie between the guests.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-717\" src=\"https:\/\/jeanleon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Actors-Merli\u0301.jpg\" alt=\"Actors-Merli\u0301\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We invited them to share their experience on social media using the hashtag #LaPrimaveraJeanLeon. Some of them did, especially Cristina Brondo who is very active on Instagram and Twitter. We also joined them for <strong>a glass of ros\u00e9<\/strong>.
